  14. DESCRIPTION

  16.     ArmyMiner is a logic board game where some of the squares do contain
  17. bombs. When clicked, the bomb-free squares display the number of bombs in
  18. their neighbourhood. The objective of the game is for the user to mark all
  19. the squares having bombs in a minimum of time. The game requires good
  20. concentration and offers a very interesting mental challenge.

  22.     There are many instances of that game on different platforms
  23. (Minesweeper on IBM-compatible, XMines on XWindows, etc). ArmyMiner does
  24. integrate all of the good aspects I've seen on all the versions of that game
  25. available on personal computers.

  27. FEATURES
  28.  
  29.   In addition to the conventional XMines-type features, it has:
  30.  
  31.   - Automatically mark or clean the neighbours of a square
  32.   - Safe start (no explosion at first click)
  33.   - Safe click (gadget-like behavior for squares)
  34.   - Question marks (for configuration analysis)
  35.   - A PAUSE option
  36.   - An UNDO option that lets you restart a game after an explosion
  37.  
  38.   You can also specify your own custom board settings. The game has sound
  39. effects, high-score tables and a very nice interface. It works on either
  40. OS v1.3 or 2.0, under NTSC or PAL.

  42. CHANGES
  43.  
  44.   The new features in v1.4 are:
  45.  
  46.   - The PAUSE button is now available after an UNDO
  47.  
  48.   - All bugs of version 1.3 are fixed (e.g. UNDO with question marks).

  50.   - System fonts other than "topaz 8" are not causing a problem anymore with
  51.     the CUSTOM board requester
